VIC First Home Buyer Stamp Duty Exemption

First home buyers in Victoria can be exempt from paying stamp duty (land transfer duty) on properties valued up to $600,000, or receive a concessional rate on properties valued up to $750,000.

How to apply

1. Your solicitor or conveyancer applies for the exemption when lodging transfer documents. 2. Complete a first home buyer declaration. 3. You must move into the property within 12 months and live there for at least 12 months.
